POM Material Ammonia Nitrogen Digital Sensor Automatically Compensate For Potassium PH Temperature In Water

KWS-200 Online NH4-N Ammonia Nitrogen Sensor

    Introduction

Kacise has taken a significant step forward in the field of environmental monitoring by introducing an innovative online ammonia nitrogen sensor. This remarkable sensor operates without the need for any reagents, a feature that not only simplifies the monitoring process but also aligns with the principles of being green and non-polluting. It offers the advantage of real-time online monitoring, allowing for immediate and continuous access to crucial ammonia nitrogen data.

The sensor is ingeniously integrated with ammonium, potassium (optional), pH, and reference electrodes. These electrodes work in harmony to automatically compensate for potassium (optional), pH, and temperature variations in the water. This advanced compensation mechanism ensures the accuracy and reliability of the measurements, providing valuable insights into the water quality parameters.

One of the standout features of this sensor is its straightforward installation process. It can be directly put into operation, eliminating the complex setup procedures associated with traditional ammonia nitrogen analyzers. This direct installation approach makes it a more economical, environmentally friendly, and convenient option. By reducing the costs and efforts associated with installation, it offers a practical and efficient solution for various monitoring applications.

Furthermore, the sensor is equipped with a self-cleaning brush. This ingenious addition prevents microbial adhesion, which is a common challenge in many sensors. By minimizing the accumulation of microorganisms, the maintenance intervals are significantly extended, reducing the frequency of maintenance and associated downtime. This leads to excellent reliability and consistent performance over an extended period.

In terms of data output and integration, the sensor adopts the RS485 output interface and supports the Modbus protocol. This enables seamless integration with existing monitoring systems and data acquisition platforms, facilitating easy data transfer and analysis. The compatibility with widely used communication protocols ensures smooth interoperability and simplifies the integration process for users.

Overall, Kacise's online ammonia nitrogen sensor represents a breakthrough in water quality monitoring, combining advanced features, ease of use, and reliable performance to meet the demanding needs of modern environmental monitoring applications.

    Maintenance Methods and FAQ

    Maintenance Schedule and Method

    1. Maintenance Schedule
It is recommended to periodically calibrate or clean the sensor surface according to the actual application scenario.

    2. Maintenance Methods

    Sensor maintenance
    1) Sensor outer surface: Clean the outer surface of the sensor with tap water. If there is still debris, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
    2) Check the cable of the sensor: the cable should not be tightened during normal operation, otherwise the cable inside the cable will be broken, causing the sensor to not work properly.
    3) Sensor storage: When the sensor is not in use, the black plastic cap should be fastened to check whether the sponge inside is wet. If it is not wet enough, please add 3mol/L potassium chloride solution and let the electrode be placed with potassium chloride. Preserved in the solution.

    The Matters Needing Attention

The probe contains sensitive optical and electronic components. Make sure the probe is not subject to severe mechanical shock. Damage to the sensor due to impact or man-made will not be covered by the warranty. The sensor inlet water is not covered by the replacement of the pH electrode.

    Procedure to get NH3_N value

Figure 91:Flow chart to get NH3_N measurement

Start brush active – make the brush active once power on , then the brush will work at the set interval time.
Get temperature and NH3_N values – Get measurement results including temperature (C) and NH3_N (mg/L) after 20 seconds of brush active.
(mg/L) after 20 seconds of brush active.
Note: Please pay attention to highlighted portion (red) in the flow chart above. It’s highly recommended that customers get an average NH3_N results after 10 consecutive measurements, then perform display or other process.
