(1) Ensure that the sensor is perpendicular to the medium surface.
(2) Avoid the transmitting beam from irradiating interference objects and generating false echoes.

Radar level sensors are instruments that are used to measure the level of various mediums in tanks and containers.
These sensors operate on the principle of time domain reflection, which is often shortened to TDR. The basic operating principle of the TDR is that an electromagnetic pulse is sent along a cable or probe at the speed of light.
When the electromagnetic pulse hits the surface of the medium being measured, a portion of it is reflected, creating an echo that returns to the pulse transmitter along the same path. The time it takes for the pulse to travel back to the transmitter is proportional to the distance between the transmitter and the surface of the measured medium.
The height or level of the measured medium can then be easily calculated utilizing this principle. By knowing the speed of light and the time it takes for the pulse to travel back, the radar level sensor can accurately measure the surface level of the medium being measured.
